KBUF puts mobile units within range of the heavy BA traffic on the Cleveland–Pittsburgh–Toronto triangle, and serves as a redundant base for the Northeast in case Rochester is fully committed.

Past pattern: A KCLE-based King Air 350i with intermittent EFIS dropouts. Mobile unit dispatched from KBUF at 1400, on-site by 1700, attitude-heading reference module isolated as the culprit, replacement unit overnight-shipped from OEM, swap and re-verification completed by 0900 the next morning.
